K. Lake Iznik
Relatively few foreigners venture out to gorgeous Lake Iznik, though it’s only a couple of hours’ ferry/car
journey away from Istanbul. Fringed by reeds and ringed by hills, the still, clear waters regarding the pond are a
delight for bird-watchers. The old, walled town associated with name that is same at the eastern end associated with the lake, is a laid-back
place serving the neighborhood agricultural community (olives are big company right here) and Istanbulites escaping the city that is big.
Famed for the ecumenical council which took place here in 325, a defining moment in the development of Christianity
(recognized to posterity once the Council of Nicaea), it is home to a Roman theatre, Byzantine churches and Ottoman mosques.
L. Dalyan Delta
Part of the IPC Group See Here For Best Turkish Properties
The delta associated with lazy, meandering Dalyan river, is one of Turkey’s natural wonders. Not least because it comes to an end maybe not in
Some swamp that is fetid but at the white bend of dazzling Iztuzu beach, a significant nesting site regarding the loggerhead turtle.
The fresh waters for the river mean the area is rich in wildlife. Significantly more than 150 bird types can be found here,
including pelicans and kingfishers. Dalyan town has retained much of its town charm, there’s the well-preserved
ancient site of Kaunos to see simply across the river, as well as the health-giving (and fun!) mudbaths of Köycegiz.
